Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS)
Mountain Projects is also proud to offer the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program to HUD-assisted families. FSS is a voluntary, 5-year program designed to help move participating families from welfare dependency to self-sufficiency. A dedicated case manager supports each families’ efforts to improve their circumstances by connecting them with community resources, job training, educational opportunities, and financial counseling. FSS also offers an escrow account that grows as families’ earnings increase, helping them build assets for goals like homeownership or higher education.
