Family Service Advocate ( Kneedler Center, WCU campus)
Family Service Advocate – Job Description
Family Service Advocates build positive relationships with children and families to assist in securing and maintaining services to help achieve self-sufficiency. Family Advocates are to bring support in a case management style and act as a liaison between families, staff, the community, and other family-related services. Lastly, they are to encourage all family members to become advocates for their children and family. Family Advocates maintain accurate health and family services data to look at trends and needs of the program and community.

To direct and implement all educational and developmental aspects of the Head Start Program in the classroom. Responsible to the Center Supervisor for implementation of the Head Start Performance Standards and North Carolina Child Care regulations pertaining to the operation of the assigned classroom.

Assistant Teacher – Job Description
Assist teacher in implementing all educational and developmental aspects of the Head Start Program in the classroom. Responsible for implementation of the Head Start Performance Standards and North Carolina Childcare regulations pertaining to the operation of the assigned classroom. Ability to work effectively with coworkers, parents, and children; ability to work effectively with diverse populations; uses good judgment in making decisions; computer skills; able to multi-task and problem solve.
Floater (Haywood)
Assist teaching staff with all educational and developmental aspects of the Head Start Program in the classroom. Rotates throughout the program to assist classroom staff as needed. Ability to work effectively with coworkers, parents, and children; ability to work effectively with diverse populations; uses good judgment in making decisions; computer skills; able to multi-task and problem solve. Must have an adequate vehicle, valid driver license and insurance; local travel sometimes required, must occasionally go into homes of Head Start children for home visits.
