Store Manager (part-time) Sylva Linings Resale Store.
The manager will oversee the store operations including staff and volunteer supervision, receipt of donations and inventory, customer relations and store organization.
Minimum qualifications are two years supervisory experience, two years retail experience preferred. Strong customer service skills, ability to multi-task. Work effectively with diverse populations. Good judgement in making decisions and computer skills.
Ability to work limited Saturdays.
A pre-employment drug test, driving record and background check are required.
This part time position works up to 30 hours a week.

Retail Store Associate-Sylva Location-part time
Mountain Projects, Inc. is currently accepting applications for a part-time Retail Store Associate in our Sylva location to provide a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.
Cashier, open and close the store at designated times. Price items and restock. Assist in sorting donations and help maintain a clean and orderly store.
This position has long periods of standing. The ability to lift 35 pounds is required. Up to 25 hours a week, schedule will vary, and will include some Saturday’s.

Waynesville Resale Store Associate

Head Start Teacher-full time (Haywood and Jackson County)
Are you looking for a new career? Head Start/Early Head Start program is looking for an individual who cares about their community and wants to make a difference and improve the lives of children and families.
Minimum qualifications are a Child Development Associate Certificate or Preschool Certificate. Preferred qualifications are an Early Childhood Education degree from an accredited community college. Supervisory experience working with diverse populations.
Has lead responsibility for the primary care of children enrolled in the classroom. Develops and utilizes daily lesson plans, across all domains that are developmentally appropriate for all children. Our staff support the facilitation of developmental screenings, on-going assessments, and recording of outcome data to determine future instruction as well as participate in home visits and parent-teacher conferences as requested by the teacher.

Teacher Assistant (Haywood County)

Head Start/Early Head Educational Coach-Part time
Are you looking for a new career? Head Start/Early Head Start program is looking for an individual who supports effective teaching strategies that lead to a positive outcome for the children within the classroom settings.
Minimum qualifications are bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field. At least 3 years of experience teaching children 0-5. A coach must have excellent written and verbal skills. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the basic principles of appropriate childhood education.
Responsible for providing ongoing coaching for Head Start and Early Head staff. Train individual teachers and assistants in planning, developing, and implementing the curriculum. Observe teaching staff and share observations and recommendations with teachers. Coach and mentor classroom staff, supporting curriculum and facilitating assessment-based planning using Teaching Strategies Gold, CLASS, ITERS and ECERS. Transit Driver Part-Time – Haywood County
Mountain Projects is recruiting Part-Time Transit Drivers. Must be willing to work flexible hours up to 29 hours per week. Must have a good knowledge of Haywood County; possess a valid NC driver’s license with a good driving record. The Federal Transit Authority requires that all transit employees participate in a drug and alcohol screening program and all related continuing education programs.

Foster Grandparent Project Coordinator:

Housing Counselor
This is a full-time position that provides counseling to individuals in a wide range of areas, including pre-purchase/first time homebuyer counseling, foreclosure prevention, loss mitigation, rental counseling, and financial management/budgeting to assist in obtaining the American Dream of Homeownership.
Minimum Qualifications: BS degree in Related field. This position requires passion and willingness to encourage those interested in homeownership. Must be willing to obtain HUD Housing Counseling Certification. Ability to multi-task, work with diverse populations and strong people skills required.
Preferred qualifications same as minimum qualifications except banking experience helpful.

Affordable Housing Manager
Mountain Projects is seeking a full-time Affordable Housing Manager.
The Affordable Housing Manager is tasked with developing and expanding affordable workforce housing opportunities in our service area, by managing the USDA-Self Help Housing Program and Housing Counseling Center, etc.
Minimum qualifications are two years related experience with a bachelor’s degree in related field. Must be able to multi-task and have strong people skills. Should possess the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Must have a passion to preserve the American Dream of Home Ownership, non- traditional houses may be required.
Necessary skills and experience include public speaking, written communications, strong leadership, fundraising, grant writing and project management.
