Mountain Projects, Inc., has touched lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina for over half a century. As a community action agency, our mission is to advocate for the well-being of our clients, who include the disabled, elderly, and families in need. Our 21 programs, from head start and housing to senior resources and public transportation, change lives for the better, embody the spirit of hope and community, and make Haywood and Jackson Counties better places to live.
We’ve earned a reputation as a trustworthy local agency, putting our donors and funders’ money to efficient, effective work in the community.
Natural disasters like the destruction wrought by Hurricane Helene present our biggest challenges.
This Disaster Relief Fund is the tool we use in those situations, and it is funded through your donations. With this Fund we work to meet the immediate needs of survivors, from food and shelter to clothing and transportation. Your investment makes a world of difference in our community.
