Meal Delivery Update
Friday, March 27 will be the last day we will serve daily meals through our Head Start program. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of daily meals through the local school systems for all children in their families aged 1 to 18.
Haywood County Schools will provide breakfast and lunch daily to anyone aged 1 to 18. Meals can be picked up from 11:00 to 1:00 Monday-Friday at most Haywood County schools. To pick up a meal at one of the schools, you just need to show up. Meals are also being delivered along their regular morning bus routes. To sign up for meals to be delivered, parents should call the Haywood County Schools bus transportation department at 828-456-4241.
In Jackson County, meals will be provided to anyone aged 1 to 18 during the extended school closure. Meals are delivered along their regular bus routes Monday-Friday. To sign up, parents need to fill out the form on the Jackson County Schools’ website by 5:00 PM the day before they want the meals to begin. The form is located at https://www.jcpsnc.org/food.
