Job Title: Head Start/Early Head Start Director

Position Summary: Operate and manage the Head Start/Early Head Start Program in Haywood and Jackson Counties for eligible children and their families as authorized by the Administration for Children and Families and the Department of Health and Human Services. Seek funding for other projects that will enhance services to children and families and manage those programs as required by the funding source.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Have three years’ experience in supervision of staff, fiscal/business management, and administration. Have ability to travel and experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in related field. Have five years’ Early Childhood Administrative experience and five year’s supervisory experience. Must have an automobile and the ability to travel on the local and national level.
