• Work in-store, such as straightening merchandise, sorting and hanging up
  clothing, and general housekeeping.
• Assist with donation pick-ups.

Locations: Volunteers might serve in any of our seven far western counties, depending on
their location and interests.

• Help man tables during community events (various counties).
• Assist with set-up, distribution and take down for resource fairs.
• Take surveys or provide feedback (for example, on ads) through focus groups or
  listening sessions.
• Help distribute print newsletters or other print materials where needed. (Places
  can vary)
• Help start or participate in community resilience groups.
• Plan or participate in community coalition meetings (substance misuse
  prevention focus) in local county.
• Help staff organize materials and supplies, such as lockboxes.

Location: Waynesville

• Assist with staffing office and screening calls for assistance in the months of
  October to April.

Locations: There are 3 locations in Jackson County and 3 locations in Haywood County.

Tasks might include:

• Spend time nurturing, reading to and engaging children in program activities.
• Assist with power washing facilities.

Tasks might include:

• Assist with serving meals at our nutrition programs in Waynesville and Maggie
  Valley.

Locations: Opportunities are currently limited to Jackson County; however, we anticipate new
construction to begin in Haywood County in early 2024.

Tasks might include:

• Assist first time homeowners with painting, flooring, landscaping, etc.

• Volunteers are needed to assist in staffing an office and answering the phone
  from November 1 st through April to screen requests for heating assistance and
  emergency assistance. Volunteers will be trained.
