Mountain Projects Head Start/Early Head Start in Jackson County is seeking a Family Service Worker to work comprehensively in recruiting and enrolling children in the Head Start program. The family service worker will ensure the Head Start program services and community resources are available to enrolled children and their families.
Mountain Projects has received a perfect score on the 2025 SEMAP evaluation from HUD, earning 135 out of 135 possible points and achieving HUD High Performer status in every category.

Mountain Projects has established food pantries at our Waynesville and Sylva offices to ensure we can provide food to households in need. We are accepting donations of shelf-stable foods and financial contributions to provide milk, cheese, juice, fruits, vegetables, and other proteins to these families.
Hands on Jackson is a day where community volunteer teams rally together to lend a helping hand to vulnerable neighbors in need. Mountain Projects was among more than 210 volunteers who completed 38+ projects today around Jackson County this morning.
