Construction Supervisor
Mountain Projects, Inc. is looking for a team member to work with our 1st-time homeowners to help them achieve the American Dream of owning a home.
The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for the on-site construction supervision and Self-Help Housing compliance with all USDA requirements. High school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 3 years construction experience is required. A contractor license is preferred. Will participate in all building inspections by Rural Development and local building inspectors. Strong written and verbal skills will be necessary. Flexible work hours with some Saturdays may be required. Should possess the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Self-Help Housing Program Construction Assistant
Mountain Projects is seeking a part-time Self-Help Housing Program Construction Assistant. This person will work alongside the Construction Supervisor to assist in operations including on-site construction assistance, related paperwork and clerical tasks. Weekend and evening work may be necessary. This position requires the ability to lift construction materials, climbing ladders etc. Should possess the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Weatherization Specialist
Come work with the team at Mountain Projects to make the homes in Haywood and Jackson Counties safer, cooler and warmer for our qualified individuals and elderly clients.
Mountain Projects Inc. is currently accepting applications for a full-time position working in Haywood and Jackson Counties. The position available is a Weatherization Specialist. Must have experience/knowledge of general carpentry. HS diploma or GED required. This is a 40-hour workweek position and usually consists of Monday through Thursday from 8:00-6:00. This position comes with health care, earned paid annual and sick leave, and 13 paid holidays per year as well as retirement benefits. Responsible to the Center Supervisor for implementation of the Head Start Performance Standards and North Carolina Child Care regulations pertaining to the operation of the assigned classroom.

Transit Driver Part-Time – Haywood County
Mountain Projects is recruiting Part-Time Transit Drivers. Must be willing to work flexible hours up to 29 hours per week. Must have a good knowledge of Haywood County; possess a valid NC driver’s license with a good driving record. The Federal Transit Authority requires that all transit employees participate in a drug and alcohol screening program and all related continuing education programs.
