Haywood Public Transit
Our system received a signed contract from NCDOT for ARRA funding on March 16, 2010. These funds are for Project No. 10-AR-070. The Period of Performance is listed from August 1, 2009-June 30, 2011.
The total amount available for reimbursement for Capital is $100,700. $20,000 is designated for surveillance equipment to be utilized when the new facility and fleet lot are completed. The remaining $80,700 is to be used to support some of the maintenance costs of the transportation system.
Efforts will be made to do business with DBE/MBE/WBE firms. These are minority owned businesses registered with NCDOT.
